I KNOW THAT THERE HAVE BEEN A COUPLE OF PREMIER GOLF ORGANIZATIONS LOOK AT TAKING IT OVER, AND BECAUSE OF THAT DECLINE, YOU'VE SEEN THEM WALK AWAY FROM THE OPPORTUNITY IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHEN THE GOLF GOLF BUSINESS, TWO OF MY BEST FRIENDS HAVE MOVED AWAY FROM DESOTO BECAUSE BECAUSE OF THE. THEY'VE HAD IT, I THINK, LIKE BOB SAID, SINCE 2015, THEY HAVE NOT PUT ANY THEY PUT $0 BACK INTO THE MAINTENANCE. I'M A HIGH END CUSTOM HOME BUILDER. I HAVE WATCHED THAT CLUBHOUSE DETERIORATE AND THE GOLF COURSE, BUT IT IS NOT BEYOND REPAIR. IT WILL IF WE LET THEM KEEP CONTROL OF THE CLUB. SO THE PURPOSE OF THIS PRESENTATION IS TO PRESENT THE RESULTS OF OUR SPRING 2025 NEIGHBORHOOD MATCHING GRANT APPLICATION REVIEW, AND TO SEEK COUNCIL'S APPROVAL TO DISBURSE $12,000 IN MATCHING GRANT FUNDS TO 17 ELIGIBLE HOAS AND NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS, AS RECOMMENDED BY THE REVIEW COMMITTEE. AND ALSO JUST TO TIE IN TO OUR STRATEGIC GOAL. OBJECTIVE FIVE PROMOTE DESOTO'S PRIDE AND APPEARANCE. INITIATIVE FIVE SEVEN STATES THAT MARKET ENHANCE THE HOA MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM TO ENCOURAGE HOAS TO MAINTAIN CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL NEIGHBORHOODS. SO JUST IN SUMMARY, 17 HOA OR NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS WERE APPLIED AND WE RECEIVED THEIR APPLICATIONS. ALL APPLICANTS MET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS, AND THERE'S A TOTAL AVAILABLE FUNDS OF $12,000 THAT CAN FOCUS ON THE LIST THERE ENTRANCE, BEAUTIFICATION, MINOR REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE, AS WELL AS NEIGHBORHOOD ENHANCEMENTS. SO THE FUNDING WAS REWARDED, AWARDED BASED ON A PROCESS WITH A COMMITTEE AND THEIR SCORING ON A POINT SYSTEM. THE COMMITTEE, COMPRISED OF FIVE RESIDENTS NON APPLICANTS FROM NON APPLICANTS NEIGHBORHOODS AND TWO STAFF MEMBERS AND THE GRANTS ARE SCHEDULED TO BE DISTRIBUTED BY THE END OF JUNE. SO HERE'S SOME PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS. AND YOU ACTUALLY HAVE THE WHOLE LIST IN THE MANAGER'S REPORT PACKET AS WELL. BUT HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE OUR THREE TOP AWARDED PROJECTS. AND YOU'LL SEE THE AMOUNTS THERE FOR KINSDALE FARMS, SILVER CREEK ESTATES AND HAMPTON MEADOWS. AND THOSE INCLUDE BEAUTIFICATION, GRANT PLANNING, POND CLEANUP, FLAG REPLACEMENT, SOLAR LIGHTS, ENTRANCE MAINTENANCE. WE HAD SOME MODERATE AWARDS TO FOR SAINT ANDREW'S PLACE, SAINT GEORGE'S PLACE AND DESOTO RANCH FOR OUTDOOR CONCRETE, TABLE GATE PAINTING AND POWER WASHING, AS WELL AS ENTRY UPGRADES. AND THEN WE ALSO HAVE SOME MINIMAL AWARDS FOR FENCE AND WALL REPAIRS AT $200 PER PROJECT. AND WE HAVE EXAMPLES FROM FROST FARM TWO, CRYSTAL CREEK RIDGE, AND STILLWATER CANYON. WE DID WANT TO NOTE THAT ALL DECISIONS WERE GUIDED BY PROJECT VISIBILITY, COMMUNITY IMPACT, AND BUDGET CONSTRAINTS BASED ON THAT SCORING SHEET. SO IN CONCLUSION, THERE ARE 17 HOA'S THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO AWARD THESE GRANT FUNDS TO. THESE ARE MATCHING GRANTS. SO THE HOA HAD TO SHOW HOW THEY WOULD MATCH THE AMOUNT THAT THEY REQUESTED. THE ESTIMATED BUDGET COST IS $12,000, AND WE HAVE THOSE LISTED THERE AS STAKEHOLDERS. RIGHT NOW WE THIS IS JUST A REVIEW OF OUR TIMELINE. THEY REVIEWED ALL OF THE APPLICATIONS ON THE 30TH OF APRIL. THERE WAS ONE SCORING IMPACT THAT WE HAD TO REDO BY ON, AND WE DID THAT ON MAY 7TH. AND SO NOW WE'RE SEEKING YOUR APPROVAL, AND HOPEFULLY THE GRANTS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED BY THE END OF JUNE. SO IT IS OUR RECOMMENDATION THAT THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZE THE DISBURSEMENT OF NEIGHBORHOOD MATCHING GRANT FUNDS TOTALING $12,000 TO THE 17 QUALIFYING APPLICANTS AS OUTLINED BY THE SPRING 2025 GRANT COMMITTEE.
