Chairperson May called the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting to order at 7:00 PM and noted for the record that seven (7) Commissioners were present.
E. CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:
(2) Approval of the Minutes for the Regular meeting on May 13, 2014.
Motion to Approve to approve the Minutes for the Regular meeting on May 13, 2014. Moved by Vice Chairperson Thomas North, seconded by Commissioner Royce West III.
Vote to Approve to approve the Minutes for the Regular meeting on May 13, 2014. (Approved)

F. PUBLIC HEARING:
(3) Consider Case Z-1286-14; an amendment to Section 37, Exterior Construction Requirements of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. The proposed amendment would amend the definition for masonry; require 100% masonry for all structures in residential districts; exclude stucco & EIFS as approved masonry products and determine in which residential districts stucco and EIFS would be allowed. The applicant is City of DeSoto.
Planning & Zoning Management Report for case Z-1286-14
Mr. Edlyn Vatthauer, Planning Manager, presented the management report for case Z-1286-14. He also explained that the Planning & Zoning Commission would like to discuss the exterior masonry construction requirements in more detail at a later date.
Chairperson May asked the Commission if there were any other questions of staff. There being no response, she opened the public hearing and asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to address the Commission either in favor of or in opposition to case Z-1286-14. Hearing no response, she closed the public hearing at 7:06 PM and asked the Commission for a motion to table case Z-1286-14.
