1. Conduct a Zoning Case Z-1452-21 to allow for an Auto Repair (Major) use by a Special Use Permit-299 (SUP-299) with zoning of Planned Development-139 (PD-139) and base zoning Light Industrial (LI). The property is located on 1616 Osprey Drive and consists of 0.716 acres. Applicant: Usman Choudhery and Property Owner: The Choudhery Family Trust

2. The City of DeSoto Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing to consider amendments to Section 10.4 “Public Hearing and Notice” by adding additional requirements for courtesy notifications to property owners between 200 feet and 300 feet of a proposed zoning change; Section 36 “Use Chart” by adding and revising uses; Section 43 Supplemental Regulations by adding regulations for Smoking Paraphernalia Establishments, Electronic-Cigarette Establishments, and Small Discount Variety Stores; and Appendix A-3 “Definitions” by adding definitions for Electronic-Cigarette Establishments, Electronic or Digital Smoking Device, and Small Discount Variety Stores, and by revising definitions of Retail Tobacco Shop, Smoking Paraphernalia Establishment, Accessory Retail or Service (Incidental in Office districts) and Retail or Service, Incidental of the Zoning Ordinance.

The City of DeSoto Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing to consider amendments to Section 39 titled “Landscape Requirements,” by deleting Subsection 39.8 titled “Tree Preservation” in its entirety and by adding a new Subsection 39.8 titled “Tree Mitigation” of the Zoning and by amending Appendix A-3 “Definitions” by adding new definitions of the Zoning Ordinance.
