Dr. Richardson reviewed the proposed Ordinance. Council discussion asking for clarification of this item.

5. Mayor, Place 1, updates for Senior Center, BSW Partnership, DRMC, Metroplex Mayors Association.

Mayor Sherman provided information on Federal Home Loan Bank, which offers financing options, as well as a Best Southwest update regarding the proposed I-35 TIF.

Reginald “Reggie” Lewis has been employed with the City as a Part-time Recreation Attendant since September 2010. He ensures the daily operations of the Recreation Center, Fitness Center and Civic Center. Reggie graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1988; Letourneau University in 1998; and, University of Texas at Arlington in 2001. Reggie aims to give all citizens exceptional customer service.

In his spare time, Reggie enjoys spending time with his family, mentoring young men and coaching his select baseball team, the Southwest Eagles.

Interesting Fact: Reggie is very interested in educating our youth. He has been an Assistant Principal with DeSoto ISD for the past five years. He is currently assigned to West Middle School.
