Doug Campbell, has been employed with Desoto Fire Rescue since September 2, 2008, as a Firefighter/Paramedic.

Doug received his EMT Basic Certification on and Firefighter Basic certification from DeSotoFireAcademy and his Paramedic Certification from UT Southwestern.

Previously, Doug was employed with King Architectural Metals as a driver. He was also a volunteer firefighter with Dallas County Fire Rescue for 2 years.

Doug currently lives in Seagoville with his wife Stephanie, and plans on starting a family. Doug enjoys going to the drag races and working on cars.

He believes in family first, and enjoys spending time with his wife and immediate family.

C. PRESENTATIONS

1. Presentation of Employee Recognition Certificates to City Employees Recognized during the 2010 fiscal year.

Ms. Hallmark read the agenda item and introduced City Manager, Jim Baugh, who presented the certificates along with Mayor Sherman.

Ms. Hallmark read the agenda item and introduced Cammy Jackson, President of the DeSoto Chamber of Commerce, who presented the report along with Eve Williams, Chair Elect and past Treasurer.

Councilmember Edgin mentioned the KERA radio interview for "Your Town, Texas" to be broadcast on Monday, October 25th.

Councilmember Zander announced early voting is taking place in the Library through Friday, October 29th.

Councilmember Respess announced the Pleasant Run Poetry Write contest. Details can be found on the Library page of the City's website.

Councilmember Lockhart announced discounted microchipping for $20 at the Tri-City Regional Animal Shelter on Saturday, November 13th.

Councilmember Valentine announced the AART production of August Wilson's "Jitney" running through Sunday, October 31st at The Corner Theatre.
