Renee Johnson-Williams, Managing Director of Development Services, presented a video about the Youth Career Camp program presented this past summer.

Park Development Coproration Board member, Trudy Lewis, provided additional information regarding the program. Shonteas Stripling spoke regarding her experience as a participant in the program.

Stephanie enjoys playing chess and is currently re-learning the art of chess in hopes of becoming a combatable foe for any player.

Little Fact: Stephanie hopes to one day teach the game of chess to others who will find it as enthralling as she does.

Councilmember Valentine announced an event sponsored by the DeSoto Arts Commission - an evening of jazz with saxophonist Joseph Vincelli, Saturday, November 7th in the Corner Theatre. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased by calling 972-230-9648.

Mayor Waddle announced the Angel Tree project for the DeSoto Food Pantry and the need for Thanksgiving contributions as well.
