3. Ambassador: Christopher Whitehead, Southwest Regional Communications Center
Christopher began his Public Safety career in 2000 with the City of Arlington Fire Department as a Paramedic. During his tenure, he taught CPR and First Aid.
In 2006, Christopher left Arlington EMS to take a communications position at SouthwestRegionalCommunicationsCenter. In his three and a half years with SWRCC, Christopher has become a Certified Training Officer which allows him to instruct CPR, NCIC for both Police and Fire, and participate as a reserve trainer for the DeSotoFireTrainingAcademy. He has obtained both his Basic TCLEOSE (tee-close) Instructor and TCIC Associate Trainer certifications.
In addition to teaching for our city agency, Christopher also serves as a Communications Instructor with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) RegionalPoliceAcademy and is the NCTCOG faculty CPR instructor. Throughout his public safety career Christopher has received several certificates of recognition, commendations and awards from the different cities and agencies that he has served. He truly loves teaching and takes great pleasure in educating and improving our public safety community.
Christopher currently lives with his family and their two dogs in the City of Grand Prairie.
