II. Discuss the Drainage Utility Fund.
City Manager Baugh reviewed updates to the Master Agenda.
Mr. Baugh's opening remarks. Mr. Johnson presented a PowerPoint presentation regarding the Drainage Utility Fund.
DRAINAGE POLICIES PRIORITY OF SELECTED PROJECTS PROJECT & FUND STATUS UPDATE OTHER IMPROVEMENTS LESSONS LEARNED SR in today's environment, what is a good reserve fund amount TJ $125,000 is a good amount. . . . BUDGET HISTORY & PROJECTIONS CITY RESPONSIBILITY PROJECT PRIORITY TO CONSIDER DV asked if the SR how much rain would have to fall in order for there to be an overtopping event? TJ pretty big storms - could be 30 minutes or 3 hours. SR how many times a year does that happen? TJ three or four times a year. DV what kind of damage to the road when it occurs? TJ TYPICAL PROJECT LOCATIONS EXPLORING OPTIONS RECOMMENDATIONS DL creek clearing at eagle - does that include enlarging the triangle. TJ - no the triangular piece of land was referring to the dry detention pond. SR ten mile creek bisects the city and many flooding issues come from the creek and the tributaries. anything going on upstream or downstream that will materially affect us. TJ Lancaster was actively trying to get NTCOG and corps of engineers to do something, but would have very little impact to DeSoto. DV SR moved from the must do to the can do -
