Akilah Jackson is a vibrant undergraduate student who is passionate about Municipal service and Human Resources! She started with the City of DeSoto Human Resources Department in June 2013 as an intern through the Emmitt J. Conrad Program. She aspires towards a career in Human Resources that stems from her current position as our HR Assistant. Akilah enjoys traveling abroad, reading fiction novels and spending time with friends. In the ice storm, a week ago, Akilah managed to get to work and spend the day preparing for and feeding emergency crews who were taking care of the public that day. We are very proud of her commitment to the City of DeSoto.
