I. Call to Order.

Mayor Sherman called the meeting to order at 6pm.

Roll Call: 7 members present, 0 members absent, 0 members excused.

II. Discuss and consider appointments, attendance requirements, and vacancies for all City of DeSoto Boards and Commissions.

Ms. Morris discussed the current Boards and Commissions vacancies.

III. Conduct interviews with applicants for vacancies in the Library Advisory Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, Building and Standards, Tri-City Animal Shelter, and Park Development Board.

Interviews were conducted for the following:

Planning and Zoning Commission
Building and Standards Commission
Parks Development Corporation
Tri-City Animal Shelter Board
Library Advisory Board

The following individuals were selected to serve on the Boards and Commissions:

Jacqueline Lee - Planning and Zoning
Andreana Coleman - Building and Standards Commission
Ahmad Goree - Building and Standards Commission
Rhetta Washington McCoy - Building and Standards Commission
Cheryl Rischer - Library Advisory Board
Bobby Sims - Parks Development Corporation
Gordy VanSteenberg - Tri-City Animal Shelter Board

IV. Discuss and consider application process for individuals interested in serving on Boards or Commissions.

Ms. Morris informed the City Council that she is investigating a new application through Granicus that may streamline the Boards and Commissions application process.

V. Adjourn.

Mayor Sherman adjourned the meeting at 10:02pm.
