I. Call to Order.

Roll Call: 6 members present, 1 members absent, 0 members excused.

Mayor Sherman called the meeting to order at 5:04pm.

Councilmember Zander was absent during this meeting.

Mayor Sherman excused himself from participating in the DeSoto Economic Development Corporation interviews. Mayor Pro Tem Ledbetter continued the meeting.

Roll Call: 5 members present, 2 members absent, 0 members excused.

II. Discuss and consider appointments, attendance requirements, and vacancies for all City of DeSoto Boards and Commissions.

Ms. Morris indicated that there are a total of eight (8) candidates for one position on the DeSoto Economic Development Corporation Board.

III. Conduct interviews with applicants for the DeSoto Economic Development Corporation.

City Council conducted interviews with two (2) candidates.

Mayor Pro Tem Ledbetter informed the City Council that they would be taking a short recess in order to conduct the Regular Work Session and City Council Meeting. She adjourned this meeting at 5:44pm and indicated the Council would reconvene at 8pm.

Mayor Pro Tem Ledbetter called to order the meeting at 8pm.

Roll Call: 7 members present, 0 members absent, 0 members excused.

City Council interviewed five (5) candidates. One candidate did not show for the interview.

At the conclusion of the last interview, Council deliberated and provided a scorecard for each applicant.

Ms. Morris tallied the results.

Mayor Pro Tem Ledbetter read the results and indicated that, upon completion of a successful background check, William Dendy would be reappointed to the DeSoto Economic Development Corporation for a period of three (3) years.

IV. Discuss and consider application process for individuals interested in serving on Boards or Commissions.

No discussion.

V. Adjourn.

Mayor Pro Tem Ledbetter adjourned the meeting at 10:20pm.
