1. Consider Zoning Case Z-1386-18; an amendment to Planned Development-20 (PD-20) to change the exterior color of the proposed Comfort Suites Hotel;and adopting Ordinance. The property is located north of Wintergreen Road and approximately 800 feet west of the I-35 frontage road; consisting of one (1) lot and contains approximately 1.6 acres. Applicant and Property owner: Kavi Patel.

The Citizen Appearances portion of the Agenda is an opportunity for the public to address the City Council on any subject. However, in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the City Council cannot discuss issues raised or make any decision at this time. Issues raised may be referred to City Staff for research and possible future action.

Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551. 0415 the City Council may report on the following items: ( 1) expression of thanks, congratulations or condolences; ( 2) information about holiday schedules; 3) recognition of individuals; ( 4) reminders about upcoming City Council events; ( 5) information about community events; and ( 6) announcements involving imminent threat to public health and safety.
J. EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RESULTING POTENTIAL ACTION
1. a. Consultation with City Attorney pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code to discuss pending litigation and final settlement in City of DeSoto, Texas, v. Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter, LLP, Cause No. DC-16-09676, filed in the 134th District Court in Dallas County, Texas. b. The City Council will convene into Executive Session pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.072 to deliberate the purchase of property generally located within the City of DeSoto, Texas. c. Take any necessary action(s) as a result of the Executive Session.
