1. Approval of a Resolution authorizing the Publication of the Notice of Intention to issue certificates of obligation, in an aggregate principal amount to not exceed $1,100,000 authorizing distribution of a preliminary official statement relating to such series of certificates and authorizing certain other matters relating thereto.
The Citizen Appearances portion of the Agenda is an opportunity for the public to address the City Council on any subject. However, in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the City Council cannot discuss issues raised or make any decision at this time. Issues raised may be referred to City Staff for research and possible future action.
Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551. 0415 the City Council may report on the following items: ( 1) expression of thanks, congratulations or condolences; ( 2) information about holiday schedules; 3) recognition of individuals; ( 4) reminders about upcoming City Council events; ( 5) information about community events; and ( 6) announcements involving imminent threat to public health and safety.
1. The City Council shall convene into Executive Session pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Section 551.071(1)(A), Consultation with the City Attorney regarding a proposed settlement agreement with Austin Filter Systems, Inc. in connection with the contemplated and anticipated litigation tentatively styled City of DeSoto, Texas v. Birkhoff, Hendricks Carter, LLP and Austin Filter Systems, Inc., to allow the governmental body to seek the advice of its attorney Action resulting from Executive Session
