The Citizen Appearances portion of the Agenda is an opportunity for the public to address the City Council on any subject. However, in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the City Council cannot discuss issues raised or make any decision at this time. Issues raised may be referred to City Staff for research and possible future action.
I. ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST
Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551. 0415 the City Council may report on the following items: ( 1) expression of thanks, congratulations or condolences; ( 2) information about holiday schedules; 3) recognition of individuals; ( 4) reminders about upcoming City Council events; ( 5) information about community events; and ( 6) announcements involving imminent threat to public health and safety.
K. EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RESULTING POTENTIAL ACTION
1. a. The Council will convene into Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.074, Personnel Matters, of the Texas Government Code, for the Annual Performance Review of the City Attorney. b. The Council will convene into Executive Session pursuant to §551.071(1) of the Texas Government Code to seek confidential legal advice from counsel regarding the lawsuit styled, City of DeSoto, Texas v. James Henrise, Cause No. DC-14-13360, 134th Judicial District, Dallas County, Texas. c. Actions resulting of Executive Sessions.
